Kids are bored, parents are busy. This is a weird time. We can make it a really positive one, for kids and parents.
Most parents I know are trying to free up some child free time to work (or even just be 'off duty' for a little while…heaven forbid!)
Wouldn't it be great if your kids could be busy being creative, enjoying learning stop animation- a brand new skill - through ‘doing’ for the next few weeks, with little input needed from you? 😙👌

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO START?
Not very much! This is a very practical learning, you don't need much, it's designed to work in the smallest of flats! Here is the list of the things you absolutely do need.

Thanks for getting this far! I've set this course up to help you claw back some time into your days - to work or relax - and keep your kids busy, creative and connected to a community of kids of the same age.
This is the second course I have released since lockdown began, specifically for this time, we have had over 1000 students through the doors of the KIDS TAKEOVER S'Cool so far from all over the world.
My aim is to teach your kids stop animation in a super hands-on practical way, that will mean that the theory will be absorbed by the 'doing'.
We all learn in different ways so each module of this course will include videos, presentations, a quiz and downloads. There are 2 modules, one per week.
The main course is video based and will be delivered right here, and can be taken in your own time at your own pace over the next 2 weeks and beyond (you will have access for as long as you need)
There is also a PRIVATE Facebook Group that you can join for your child where we can share our work, I will give feedback on your child's animations and do LIVE feedback sessions in the group. This is our KIDS TAKEOVER community space.
The whole course is designed to fit in around your family schedule and not to cause any stress or time pressure!
There are 2 weeks and each new week is released every Weds at 9am. There is a challenge per week and several videos.
The course will take a minimum of 2/3 hours per week, with most kids spending waaaay longer, (which I encourage)!
I know times are tricky and my aim for this course is to entertain and teach your kids, with easy to digest bite-sized modules that deliver some really big teaching, and for them to fall in love with the magic of stop motion animation. I'm hoping you can leave them to it, and get on with something else, or learn with them, whilst we explore our creativity together.

What will we cover?
Week 1
This week is all about creating your first STOP MOTION ANIMATION, getting to grips with the basics, the set up and the techniques.
Week 2
This week we will explore our creativity using the medium of STOP MOTION ANIMATION to create your own fabulous stories.
Each week there will be teaching VIDEOS, and 2 CHALLENGES, and a QUIZ, so the learning is through the 'doing'. There will be LIVE Q&A's and feedback, twice every week.

The activities are varied and enjoyable and we have all ended up with some fantastic images.
